American Airlines and US Airways Merger
The merger of American Airlines and US Airways is going to create the world's largest airline (by number of miles flown per passenger); the merged airline will carry the American Airline name. This also means that the companies' frequent flyer programs will be merged into one program. Members of AAdvantage can now book flights one oneworld partner airline Qantas directly on aa.com. Qantas has been added to the system after online bookings for Alaska Airlines, British Airways and Hawaiian Airlines were made available earlier.
